How to Become Admin on TeamSpeak 3 (Privilege Key)
When a TeamSpeak 3 server is created it generates a privilege key (also called a token): a code that gives you the Server Admin group when you use it. With that group you create channels, set permissions and give ranks.
How to use it
- Connect to the server with the TeamSpeak 3 client.
- Open Permissions → Use Privilege Key.
- Paste the key and confirm. The Server Admin icon appears next to your name.
Each key works only once: if someone else used it, that person became admin.
How to give ranks to your staff
As Server Admin you can create new keys in Permissions → Privilege Keys: pick the group, for example Server Admin or your own moderator group, and send the key to that person. You can also right-click a connected user and assign a server group.
If you lost the key
- On a MejorServer server, the key is in your activation email. You can also see the server tokens and groups from your service panel in Atria. If you still cannot find it, open a ticket from your account and we will help you create a new one.
- On your own server, the key shows up in the console and in the log the first time the server starts.
